We have worked on both detection and protection systems for many major companies including the London Underground. Since the privatisation of the underground networks we now work extensively for the infrastructure companies who oversee the improvements made to the networks.

The services we offer include the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of detection and suppression systems from minor works to major station modernisations, and we always comply with the latest legislation.

MJ Quinn is able to provide a complete capability in Design, Installation, Commissioning, handover and Maintenance of the following areas of speciality:-

  Automatic smoke/heat detection systems

      Automatic Fire Detection systems (ADF), as the name suggests, detects a fire
          and raises an alarm to ensure the risks to persons and property are limited.
      ADF systems initiate other automatic actions such as releasing self closing fire
          doors, controlling fire dampers, triggering fire extinguishing systems, operating
          fire ventilation systems and switching on special signs and escape lighting.
      Our design package would include a comprehensive site survey for existing
          sites or study drawings for new sites to be able to progress onto project
          managing the system best suited to your business needs.
      Our design engineers are accredited by LPCB and certificated to LCPB 1014
          standard.
      We believe that pre planned maintenance is the most cost effective method of
          implementing maintenance. Our engineers carry out a risk assessment on each
          component part of the systems and determine the frequency of maintenance visits.
